OUR

Fabrics

EXPLAINED

At Natural Fashion, we are committed to using sustainable fabrics and natural materials that are better for your skin and the planet.

Every piece in our collection is made from eco-friendly textiles such as bamboo, linen, organic cotton, banana fibre, orange fibre, rose fibre, and Bemberg satin. These fabrics are breathable, biodegradable, and kinder to the environment than synthetic alternatives.

By choosing high-quality natural fabrics, we create clothing that is designed to last, feels luxurious to wear, and supports our mission to reduce fashion’s environmental footprint.

Bamboo

Bamboo is one of the most sustainable plants in the world. It grows quickly without pesticides, is biodegradable, and offers natural antibacterial properties.

Bamboo fabric helps reduce bacteria that can thrive in clothing and has a number of benefits:

  • Durable even after many washes
  • Blends easily with cotton and hemp
  • UV resistant
  • Naturally hypoallergenic
  • Highly moisture absorbent and quick drying
  • Reduces odour-causing bacteria

Care for bamboo: Machine wash at 30°C or lower. Iron at a maximum of 110°C. Do not use chlorine bleach or tumble dry. Use pH-neutral washing soap and avoid drying in direct sunlight.

Banana

Banana fabric is made from the stems of the banana plant, a part of the crop that would otherwise go to waste. It is incredibly soft like silk on the inside yet strong like cotton on the outside, making it both luxurious and durable.

Banana fabric is breathable, moisture-wicking, and comfortable to wear, all while being environmentally friendly.

This fabric is EPFC certified.

Care for banana fabric: Dry clean only (hydrocarbon solvent recommended) or lightly steam to remove creases. If ironing, use a maximum of 110°C. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach. Handle with care to maintain its soft drape.

Bemberg Satin

Bemberg Satin is made from cotton linters, the soft fuzz around cotton seeds that is usually discarded. By turning this by-product into a beautiful fabric, it reduces waste and makes use of a renewable plant-based resource.

Bemberg Satin has the look, feel, and drape of silk but is vegan-friendly. Its uniform fibres give it a smooth, luxurious texture while remaining lightweight and breathable.

Care for Bemberg Satin: Dry clean only (hydrocarbon solvent recommended) or lightly steam to remove creases. If ironing, use a maximum of 110°C. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach. Handle with care to preserve its fluid drape.

Linen

Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Known for its exceptional breathability and moisture-wicking properties, linen is perfect for warm and humid climates.

It is strong, naturally biodegradable, and softens beautifully over time.

Care for linen: Dry clean only (hydrocarbon solvent recommended) or lightly steam to remove creases. If ironing, use a maximum of 110°C. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach. Handle with care to maintain the quality of the fabric.

Organic Cotton

Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or insecticides, using less water and producing a lower carbon footprint compared to conventional cotton. It is softer, safer for sensitive skin, and better for the farmers who grow it.

Benefits include:

  • No chemical residue in the garment
  • Reduced allergens and skin irritation
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Healthier working conditions for farmers

Care for organic cotton: Machine wash at 30°C or lower. Iron at a maximum of 110°C. Do not use chlorine bleach or tumble dry. Use pH-neutral washing soap and avoid drying in direct sunlight.

Orange

Orange fibre is created by extracting cellulose from discarded orange peels. The result is a beautifully soft, drapey, and strong fabric that is wrinkle-resistant, biodegradable, and vegan-friendly.

Its silky feel and lustrous look make it an ideal alternative to traditional silk.

This fabric is EPFC certified.

Care for orange fibre: Dry clean only (hydrocarbon solvent recommended) or lightly steam to remove creases. If ironing, use a maximum of 110°C. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or bleach. Handle with care to preserve its drape.

Rose

Rose fabric is made from fibres extracted from the natural waste of rose petals. It is soft, lustrous, biodegradable, and vegan-friendly.

Rose fibre is similar to silk in its luxurious feel but is plant-based and eco-conscious.

This fabric is EPFC certified.

Care for rose fabric: Machine wash at 30°C or lower. Iron at a maximum of 110°C. Do not use chlorine bleach or tumble dry. Use pH-neutral washing soap and avoid drying in direct sunlight.

our

Fabric Partners

We work with a sustainable textile manufacturer who ensures complete traceability from farm to fabric. Their sustainability claims are verified by third-party audits, and they provide carbon footprint reports for every shipment. They hold GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification, OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and are registered with the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). They also meet EU REACH regulations and US CPSIA standards for textile safety.

For our latest collection, we also introduced GOTS-certified, Azo-free dyes. These dyes do not contain harmful azo compounds, which can release dangerous chemicals during breakdown. Choosing Azo-free dyes ensures a safer process for both people and the environment, reducing health risks and preventing water contamination.

Always Choosing Better

At Natural Fashion, we believe the fabrics we use are just as important as the designs we create. By selecting only high-quality, sustainable materials, we ensure that our clothing looks beautiful, feels comfortable, and treads lightly on the planet.

We are always exploring new innovations in eco-friendly fabrics and working to make our collections even more sustainable. Every choice we make brings us closer to a future where fashion and nature work hand in hand.
